Exactly. The "extreme" sales pitch has been done do death. The "Ultra Durable" labeling is leaps and bounds more successful at least to me.

I was sold on asus when my M2R32-MVP was doing 325+ FSB (my x2 3600+ only had a x9.5 multi) with 4 Dimms In use(overclocked by 100mhz for the timings)
and was "rock solid". (but not "heart touching")

My experience with my P5E started out badly (it wouldn't post with my ballistix ).But in the end, I got the OC i wanted even if the 3rd Dimm is a little finnicky when i'm running 8gb Ram.

If they keep their hardware quality up, i'll probably hit asus up for round three in a year or so.

I've owned quite a few Asus boards and used several in builds for other people. Although I've heard that some people have had a hard time with either the product, the support, or both, I have yet to experience it myself. The one time I did RMA a board I dealt with friendly people and got a replacement pretty fast. I've been quite happy with the P6T Deluxe so far too.

My first build is an Asus Socket 939. Forgot the name. It still works now is the family computer. I don't have anything to complain about. I'm just surprised that the favor has turned after just 3 years. Back then I remember folks telling me to ignore Gigabyte and go for Asus mobos. Now it's the other way around.

I think my gigabyte board is pretty

And the layout is PERFECT.

I can use my TV tuner, two 4890s, and a sound card if I want...
