Nice, hopefully with better drivers it'll improve the FPS if not I'll wait until the next cards can play crysis at an average of over 60 FPS at the highest settings
Don't Tri-4890s get 50 avg. with 8xAA? I think that's what I saw in the Tri thread, which means this single card is a beast, even though it's not exactly apples-apples.

Agreed. Can you imagine running 2 of these monsters?

Seems like ATI made a 2x 4850 cores into 1x and called a 5870...great results on the bench run...and no..folding would still be somewhat of a let down.... this thing would be in the ballpark of ~7.5k PPD by looking at the figures, its basically a heavy OC'd Xfire setup of 4850's in single GPU form.

No it has the same specs of the 4870x2 on a single card. 3 of these pups= 3x 4870x2 in Hexfire. If that were possible.
Just interesting that I haven't seen any nvidia Threads out... very not like them.
So, I guess, if you guys are talking stock form for the 4870/4980..you would not be incorrect either...just not thinking straight I guess..I mean who runs *stock*

but think about this.. he is getting 43 average. on a 24" monitor with 1900 x 1200. i have a 24" lcd and i run sli 260s and i dont even play on my native res.
the fact that he is using that high of a resolution, AND 4xAA and 16xAF and still getting 43 fps is pretty solid.. that means on a 22inch lcd your going to get around 60fps or so, and with no AA it will be even faster.
Impressive. If the 5870 can do this, then I can't wait to see what Gt300 is capable of
