If this thing could pull off more then just 1 sata (note I haven't read the whole article yet), this thing would be perfect for a media based few terabyte file serve for the home. Heck, store a bunch of movies on it, slab it under your HD tv, and bam, : )

Btw, what else would we use this for? 4 in ultra portable netbooks? ; )

Somebody made a pico-itx pc last year and made a worklog for it. if i my memory is correct, it played doom, warcraft 1, diablo 2 and quake. He made the case from scratch and added the psu, ram, HDD and cd-drive all into a small case he can carry in his pocket

How could this possibly play 1080 content in a 1.6GHz Atom based PC cannot...

My Asus EeePC stutters like hell when I try to play 720p videos.

So I overclocked to 2.2GHz

It's called hardware acceleration. A 1.2GHz Atom could play HD video if it had a GPU doing the decoding.

To answer most of your questions: (1) a fridge cannot cool a PC (2) 64-bit OS for over 3.4GB (3) If a PCIe card fits, it should work (4) Resolution, not screen size (5) If you have a question, it is not news (6) Report, not respond to Spam (7) Single-Rail/Non-Modular PSUs are not always better than Multi-Rail/Modular (8) Sequential does not matter as much as random for OS drives

Awhile back I was deciding what to do with my old gamecube, and i found this.

He calls it the Picocube. It looked pretty sweet.
