Again, Mac OSX will be identified by a unique serial number starting next year in all mac osx copies sold boxed and pre-loaded on machines. Apple can read hardware codes that tells them if the machine running that OSX copy is on licensed Apple Hardware and assembled machines. So all you hacintoshers, better ****. Because apple can next year with updates and new copies and machines tell if your OSX copy is runing legit. SO HA.

This post has to be a joke. I don't understand why you come here and attack people for no reason? you must work for them an be a "genuis". You realize that Windows has been doing "geniune checks" for many years and bypasses are very easy to come by. I'm not encouraging piracy but for those who bought a copy of OSX and for apple to "check" their hardware and disable updates or blacklist them is pretty garbage and will be easily bypassed if it ever were to actually happen. I installed OSX on my computer and was pretty happy I finally got it working. I sat there looking at the screen and realized there was nothing I wanted to do, I made it look all nice then an hour later went back to 7. Almost all my friends have Macs and I use them quite a bit and I remember when I was in high school I thought they were so cool, even being a windows guy all my life, but now I see them for what they are, overpriced hardware with a simple OS. I do admit OSX is shiny and easy to use but so is 7. Why should a company have to force people to use their hardware with their OS? Maybe apple needs to think about the future and realize that they are slowly losing their grip on forcing people to buy overpriced computers to use their OS.

They weren't advancing fast enough to keep up with Apple. They still haven't technically. x86 cpus are just better.

Well you're right I guess. After the dual core came out PPC never had an answer for them, but up until then a 1.5 GHz PPC out performed a 3 GHz P4...

Actually, I'd love to have a G5 to run a Linux server on... It would be awesome.

I'm sure working for apple gives me priveliges. And by your logic sir, going on the fat thta people"won't buy macs because of the prices" Apple should have gone out of buisness about 10 years ago then. But apparently by a stroke of genius there one of the few electronic giants actually Making a Profit! I'm sure the logic you're going by is extremely biased. I own a G5 already for my File Server. Had it for 4 years now. Dual Core G5 with 4 PCI-E Slots. Apple has more capital then most other electronic companies allowing for development. Sir when I get money back on the stock I'm going to buy of apple, I'l be laughing and you'l be crying.
