Man, with the prices they're offering for these cards, it's going to blow everything else out of the water. Nvidia won't be able to profit off the cards that they sell...

GT300 needs to be damn good to compete with this, and it needs to come soon, or else ATI is the new king.

If that's correct. I guessed it right. $600 for the 5870x2. The question is. Will it be twice the performance of a 5870? If not, it might not be worth it.

It beat the GTX 260, in vantage. GPU score only.

Well, the fact that it's cheaper than 2 5870's (currently, at least) and that it allows you to quadfire 2 of them makes it worth it to the enthusiast community.

And, you'll almost never get 100% scaling with the current method that SLI / Crossfire utilize (AFR). Call of Duty 4 is a rare game that almost yields 100% scaling. So, it won't be strictly 2 x the performance of the 5870.

Besides, 5870x2 is the only sensible upgrade for 295 or 4870x2 users, that is until GT300 comes out with a significant performance on par with 5870x2. And then it has to be priced just right too.

I can't wait to get my grubby hands on them :P

I'd still like to see it in the $550 range, myself. Also, this is just the standard lineup, I want to see some 3rd party coolers come out.
