They don't really need to though, because with Intels chipsets providing Crossfire and SLI theres really no point in going for a SLI only chipset anymore. They worked for LGA 775 when there was only Crossfire boards and SLI boards, but now its just not needed, except for AMD boards because I think nVidia denied them access to have a Crossfire/SLI chipset because they wouldn't allow nVidia to make a chipset that supports Crossfire as well.

Either way, I wouldn't mind nVidia making chipsets...but I think it's either time to give up and let others have SLi or really innovate on the chipset level and come out with something new. I'm tired of Rehashes. Quote:

Yea when the x48 ,p45 chipsets where out it woukd be nice to see SLI support, they would of made a great gaming rig with lots of overclocking.

Yeah, but back in those days they actually had a reason to make there chipsets, because Intel didn't have SLI support on there boards then, now they do. P55 and X58 are hurting them in the chipset business, but in reality, its probably making them sell more cards because they all support SLI.

I wish via would get back into the chipset business. They made some good chipsets before they got ripped to shreds in rigged delaware court rooms.

they say they're not making enthusiast boards because of intel.
so why dont they make enthusiast boards for AMD then? Because AMD will want the boards to be able to run CrossfireX too and they only want their boards to support SLi?
