They're saying that there's an innate speed limit, similar to the speed of light. But as I said before, the speed of light has already been surpassed so it's a pretty bad comparison...

Who cares, in ten years the computers we are using now will look puny and slow compared to what we will be using. Even if it does cap off in the next decade, whatever the limit is it will be blazing fast.

What about a truly massively parrellel super computer? Computer chips can only get so big sure, but you can link as many chips together as you want...
I think it is really on a matter of time (10 years max) before computers are plenty fast enough to accomplish any reasonable task. The only barriers that will exist after that is creating a perfect artificial environment (gaming) and AI.

haha, a little optimistic
I'm thinking humans will never get to the point that their only limiting factor is this value. There are just too many diminishing returns when you would come even close to approaching it.
