Electrons don't move at the speed of light, generally much slower. But it is the theoretical maximum.

Remember seeing a doco on discovery channel about it, but a quick google search found this: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/science/s...-of-light.html

Yeah I highly doubt there will ever be a limit upon what we can and cannot do. I know eventually we'll be able to make people fly around with anti-gravity boots. So I think we can always overcome any problems.

The thing is that more cores will do nothing. A single chip will be as fast as speed of light because even if it calculates faster its still has to travel the information at a speed meaning that speed will be reach as CPUs get faster until they go as fast as speed of light. Adding more cores will have no effect in performance.

They just predicted 100 years into the future. Good luck holding this theory true.

They used quantum tunneling to travel faster than light in that case, other cases use atoms to make the group velocity change, unfortunately neither of these can be used to transfer information faster than light.
