What makes you think that? This is so far from the truth. You can run an ln2 session on a chip and it still overclock just the same as the day you got it afterward. In fact many sessions can be done and still not notice any difference. I have yet to kill or degrade a chip b/c of extreme benching.

P55 isn't made for 5GHz+ overclocks anyway -.-
Mainstream processors wern't made for this. If you want 4.5GHz+ overclocks go i7.

i7's aren't even made for 5Ghz. LGA775 processors were never made for 5Ghz either but people got them running at that frequency. Besides, I don't think the issue is that you can fry your chip and mobo under extreme overclocking. What most people are wondering is at what point can this happen? Will it go pop at a simple stress testing a new build, a mild overclock, etc. This has me a bit jumpy and AM3 is looking even better.
