On November 19 should be presented to the new Radeon HD 5970. As always, there are of course in advance, the first information on the new dual GPU card. Pictures and technical information on the Radeon HD 5970, we had previously announced in a news.

We have taken just two Radeon HD 5870 from XFX and these are set appropriately for the reduced speeds. Let's see, then, what will make the card probably so.

Interesting results, although not a real 5970. Again I think the name change is justified since the specs will not be what a 5870 X2 would be.

how the heck can they simulate a card's performance.

Well, I guess I know...they just make it up off of what one GPU does or else base it off of crossfire and then up the numbers just slightly since an X2 does a tiny bit better than actual crossfire

I don't see what's so wrong about it. It's essentially what the 5970 is. Crossfired 5870s (albeit clocked down to 725/1000). But yes, I would like to see reviews from guru3d, Hardocp, etc.

On topic: The results were a bit underwhelming, to be honest. The 1ghz 4890s in CF performed amazingly well, though.

Not really. They have a bit different drivers and most of the times 4870 1GB CF did better then 4870X2.
