this could be one of its competitors, as it uses the android 2.0 OS i think.

but in all honesty I think im going to wait for a phone that has:

1.6ghz CPU and 512mb ram, using that android OS 2.1? + google chrome browser = sex
be the fastest phone around i reckon
4.1" screen 854x480 AMOLED type.
support wifi and avi videos( I know this phone in the thread can do wifi)
regular headphone jack (I know this phone here has earphone jack)

I know you say competitor BUT

The Droid is Verizon only for the time being which suggests no European launch.
The Droid is made by HTC, HTC also make Sony X Series phones.

I wouldn't really say a competitor, the phones are both running very similar hardware, its just the function hardware that varies.

Oh and the UI, however im sure xda-devs will sort that one out

Might be a stupid question, but I couldn't find it answered in any press releases:

What company is going to use this phone? I'm hoping Sprint gets it, since I get a 20% discount on their plans because of where I work.
