These are the lengths people to go when they don't get the full speed advertised by the ISP. Hundreds more do this around the world due to ISP's so called "fair usage" policies where they will either cap your overall Broadband speed for a number of hours once you have reached their particular threshold download limit, or apply some kind of monthly download limit (eg. 10GB a month)

Now I don't know about you but I don't exactly see anything fair about that... you pay them for the service therefore you should be entitled to all of it, all the time.

Okay at the end of the day its stealing and crime doesn't pay but, if the big corporate ISP's didn't have these usage limits in the first place then people wouldn't do this thus making them even more billions.

If the issue is that concerning for them then they stop with the usage capping. If however they do it to help network traffic over all nodes (which some try to state) then perhaps it's time they invested more of those billions into their infrastructure.

Just my 2 cents.

ISP's need better security. Nuff said

Too my knowledge, this has been going on for a very long time. And spoofing Comcast is even easier, go figure.

(Taking networking security classes, so I knew about this before it was written in a article)

Wow I wish I had one of those routers. This guy was gonna get caught sooner or later. I do agree however that some of these prices that ISPs charge for poop service is theft in itself.
