Well the real crime was actively stealing authentic user's MAC addresses in order to allow the hacked modem onto the network. Go fig. lol

Interesting article, he deserves what he gets for stealing MAC address' and what not, but i don't blame him for uncapping the modems. I mean ISPs are friking criminals, no money into infrastructure and the prices are going up for pathetic sub-par service.

It is the ISP's fault for not securing their systems, end of story. This is a HUGE issue for the isp. Any hacker can scan and grab mac's from paying customers, and guess what, all data the hacker uses is added to the data cap of the paying customer... Big Big lawsuit right there once a court and the public find this out.
