Basically a USB-powered SSD. There's some already out, just slower.
It's useless if it reads/writes faster than your computer's HDD/SSD anyways.
It would be awesome for a portable Windows 7 though.

That isn't what he's getting at- what he is saying is that the extra speed (120MB/s in your example) would be wasted because of the maximum transfer rate of the system hard drive.

Totally different scenario when loading/unloading it from RAM though.
