i think you'll find it's an intel chipset. albeit with gigabyte's way of delivering it power.

It may be Intel's reference design for the chipset, but the layout of the board and their utilization of the chipset has EVERYTHING to do with it.

I am not impressed, but maybe its because I dont understand what is so impressive about 4.5ghz on that chip.

Its not the ghz, its the fsb that he achieved. Thats one heck of some ocing to get that high.

These gigabytes are some great boards. Although I thought reaching 600fsb on my 8400 was high, guess not lol.

as above has said, it's the FSB that's amazing. The previous record was somewhere in the 650 range.

FSB is quad pumped, stock is 333 = 1333, most people struggle to get 2000 (500 FSB).

The only way other than FSB is to bump up the Multiplier.

The previous record was 724. This guy then got 740 the other week and now 750
