The EP45 Extreme is not part of the UD3 series. There is no 2oz copper involved. You may resume doubting. Voltage control and bios options have been behind their success, not the marketing gimmicks they use to attract the masses.

This has nothing to do with processor clock speed. It has to do with FSB speed, which effects the entire system, not just the processor. You'll notice that the CPU multi has been lowered so that the FSB can be taken to the max without being limited by the CPU not being able to clock 5.00GHz+.

Yeah, if the 8400 was at it's usual multiplier of 9 than the cpu would be running at over 6.7Ghz. Which aint gonna happen.

750mhz X 9 = 6750Mhz

---edit---

Oh, E8500, my bad. 750 X 9.5 = 7125

Actually that board is introduced before 2oz copper, and I am fairly sure there is only one revision.

Owned the DDR2 version which was really held back on the memory front, can't really get beyond 500MHz like some have suggested

4. LGA1366 for SLI/CF.
