I wouldn't be so quick to call that one false either. True to the site's name the news was semi-accurate. Newegg didn't get a single shipment of GTX 275s or 285s in October. They just got a shipment from EVGA a few days ago, so now the only GTX 275s and 285s you can buy now are EVGA models and the overpriced/poor quality models that nobody will buy.

My guess is that when nVidia found out there would be shortages of the 5850 they realized that they had a brief window to sell some more cards before TSMC fixed it's yield issues.

Because when you look at it, the 5850 outperformed the GTX 285 and was the same price as the GTX 275. Who in their right minds would buy a 285 or 275 when they could have a 5850?

Looks like Nvidia has been taking some ques from intel.

And this whole thing stinks. It's ripe with lies and deceit. I would be willing to bet money that Nvidia played a HUGE part in delaying or outright killing this board. And I'm sure they'll do their damnedest to make sure no one else gets their hands on it either.
If I was a mobo manufacturer I'd tell Nvidia to kiss my ass and I'm going to release it anyway.

Is there something shady going on? Yes. Is there any proof Nvidia is behind it? No. Has anybody thought about ATI and Crossfire? Heck, it might be a collaborative effort between ATI and Nvidia. Or maybe it's something else entirely.

Is there any proof. I'm sure there is but we'll never see it. And of course no company is going to come out and incriminate themselves. Maybe a disgruntled employee would come forward and blow the Nvidia tale of deceit wide open. Wishful thinking, I know.

And I like how you're trying to take the focus off of Nvidia because you're a fanboy. Whatever ATi does is not relevant here. We're talking about Nvidia and Lucid, not ATi and Lucid.
