There really is not proof Nvidia did any wrong doing here guys. It is suspect sure, but very far from concrete. If it was a simple as Nvidia forcing lucid out then lucid would be trowing a fit right now, and it seems like they are not. If I had to guess I would say that a problem in the Lucid chip, plus some internal politics, and maybe even some back door deals killed it. It has to be more complicated then Nvidia paying somebody off.

That or Chalie has conveniently forgot to leave out some crucial information.

Proof that they get more money on higher end cards? I was under the impression they get roughly the same profits due to the higher end cards being cheap.

It could be the driver issues again (I think that was the first issue that delayed it), or plenty of other problems.

Do you even realize what you're saying? Four 4650s are not even as good as a single 4890, which is in the same price range. GDDR2 and a 128 bit bus make that card worthless.

As far as current cards go, two 5770s already beat a 5850, and are cheaper

I'm not trying to flame you but, I don't think you thought that out clearly.

People on this forum already have TriFire 4890's and TriSLI 285's and that's already overkill for every game out here but you can be sure that people will upgrade to Tri 5870's and GT300's. Simply because they provide more performance. To say that people won't upgrade because its "overkill" is kind of moot on a forum where people buy and upgrade monster machines all the time.

BTW.... Lucid is heavily Intel-backed.... I wonder why Intel hasn't stepped in yet.

To answer most of your questions: (1) a fridge cannot cool a PC (2) 64-bit OS for over 3.4GB (3) If a PCIe card fits, it should work (4) Resolution, not screen size (5) If you have a question, it is not news (6) Report, not respond to Spam (7) Single-Rail/Non-Modular PSUs are not always better than Multi-Rail/Modular (8) Sequential does not matter as much as random for OS drives

This Charlie dude has been bashing at Nvidia so much lately that even I'm getting annoyed at him, who never really gave a damn or didn't bother about that guy, seriously, what is his problem? His kind of behavior only makes me not want to buy ATI.

Everyone keeps asking why we think this is Nvidia's doing. Did you happen to read the article?

We heard through the grapevine at IDF that Nvidia was not happy about Lucid, and was going to break Lucid's Hydra chip at the driver level to protect its SLI tax
While this isn't proof, it's a pretty good reason to point a finger...
