this is the socket 1156 not 1366. Perfect example of why the new naming scheme sucks. Regardless you could have a 1366 board with only two ram slots.

the naming scheme is centered around the number of cores/threads. 4cores/8threads = i7 4cores/4threads = i5 2cores/4threads(?) = i3, which i believe also has an integrated graphics chip off die.

great, a small Mobo.
but still needs a 24-pin Connector; does that mean I'll need to connect a full-size PSU?! one that'll be almost as big / bigger than the mobo itself? how pointless.

The PSU the size of a business card that came with an Antec ISK300-65 came with a 24pin PSU connector in my case...

That could turn into a very powerful LAN box- just keep in mind folks, Mini-ITX boxes get VERY hot because they kick out so much heat.

I don't like the placement of the auxiliary power over by the back panel. That looks awkward to get your power cable over to.
That said, I'd love to play with one of these and maybe one of the Gigabyte single-slot 260s or something.

im wondering what the price would be on this board cause the zotac mini itx launched at $150 i believe so im guessing this board would be in that range because the only other DFI p55 board is $185

Production costs for mITX boards are cheaper... but they have to be off-set by lower sales. I'm guess $200?
