sure an intel dual core may perform slightly better but the amd phenom II x2's are
- cheap - overclock very easy, where as with intel you should have a decent cooler - run cool

It really doesn't make sense to be buying the e8xxx series anymore being a $100 AMD chip can keep pace or even beat them at most things.

Hmm the E8400 is not too bad, considering it's been out for quite a while. Mine is 1,5 year old now

Yea.. I was wondering if i5 and i7 had duallies. How would AMD Do then... Price is everything..... or maybe not.

My 550BE is pretty great. It beat everything in the first test, but didn't do so hot with Crysis. Oh well, Crysis is bad anyway.

This is nice info for a non-overclocker, but how do the PhenonIIs overclock compared to the e8xxx CPUs?
