Remember that Vista is programmed to recognize 128 GB of RAM, so it requiring 2GB to run well should really be no surprise. A few years from now we'll all probably laugh at the days when we thought 2GB was a lot of RAM, just like we laugh now when we thought MB for RAM and GB for harddrives was huge years ago.

Its called logical progression. It has been happening in the PC world since the pc's inception. If it needs 2Gb's then it needs it if not then no harm no foul. Now a serious question I would like answered. Did anyone in thier right mind think that as OS's get more and more complex they wouldn't take up more and more resources? I personally don't buy a single word that the inq has to write about anything. When vista comes out I will do the same thing as when xp was released. Continue using xp till the major bugs and patches are released and then buy vista and build my rig around running vista as fast and minimallistically as possible. Im with you in your take muffin. Bring on the future of technology and just tell me what I need to make it fast ill do the rest.

Lol Chopes, first of all old Billy said no one could ever need more than 128KB of storage and secondly we not only have 1TB but 2TB storage in computers.

But I really don't see how this could be a problem, Apple's been shipping G5s with 16GB (8x2GB) for a long time now, its about time Windows users got on the gobs-o-ram bandwagon

EDIT/// I'm not worried at all, I already have 2 gig sticks and I have 2 empty slots on my mobo so I can very easily add 2 more gig sticks of OCZ Gold DDR2 667, I honestly doubt BF2 (BF2142 will be out fall so I guess thats the one we should talk about in regards to Vista ) will use 4GB of RAM under Vista.
