My point was Blue Tooth is much newer than 2.4Ghz wireless RF. I didn't say it was brand new.

As for lag, I don't know what mice you have experienced, but this is about consoles, not PCs. And consoles use controllers, and it is now common to have more than one person playing at a time. I am willing to bet you will get much more lag with 7 RF controllers than with 7 Blue Tooth ones. Cause I have played in a couple HALO parties with peopel with wireless controllers, and they suck when you get more than 3 in a room. And that's where the true benefit of newer technology comes in.

Nooo! Save Sony guys! i would hate to see them go under, everybody I order you to buy atleast 1 PS3 and then enough games so that Sony makes a profit!! seriously, any time I have the choice to buy Sony products over others, I do because I know Sony's been in financial trouble and they've always been my favorite TV manufacturer among other things, they gotta stop backing dumb formats like betamax, umd, and those little tape things that went into their iPod-like portable music thingies lol.

I think whatever price the PS3 is set at it will sell, look at the PS2, when it first came out in Japan, more people bought it just as a DVD player than as a gaming console (it was by FAR the cheapest DVD player at the time AND it was progressive scan to boot) so as long as Blu Ray gets off on the right foot, people may be willing to pay $500 or even $750 for a Blu Ray player that can output to 1080p displays like the PS3 can and that can also just happen to play games on the side atleast until the price drops down and the gaming crowd is able to afford it as a dedicated gamer, that is exactly how the PS2 got its start (mainly in Japan though) and it surely could work for PS3 as well, do I hope Sony prices it low? not really I would rather pay more and help them out but not everyone is as fortunate as I am to have rich parents so I can certainly understand why people would want a cheap console but you have to look at all the tech that is crammed into a PS3 and also not be selfish and let Sony get some profits for a change

really wow i didnt know the ps2 had progressive scan dvd and um yea so why would you want to help a company that used to make quality products and has now started making quanity products that suck sure they used to make good tvs.. but ill take a mitsubishi anyday over a sony or a hitachi hell i might BIG might even take a panasonic over sony.. their stereos are sub par now they dont even rank in my point of view dennon bose yamaha lets see as for the minidisc that was good media a lot of people still use that it wasnt a bad choice by sony but i for one am certainly not going to spend that much cash on a system with a horrible controller and technology that might not even be the main stream sure blueray is nice but it could be another beta everything i owned used to be sony.. now the only thing i have left that is sony is my alarmclock at least they couldnt screw that one up

My family actually still has our betamax . I actually hooked it up to my stereo when my tape deck died so I could record from the radio.

The thing is the cheapest BlueRay player at launch is gonna be about $1000, so the lowest Sony can go with the PS3 is about $500....
