Hey no prob. I'm a stickler for details, and you're right...the vapors of plastics are toxic when it melts and burns, probably just as bad as PCBs- an oily, non-conductive substance once used to fill high voltage transformers with to use as coolant. .Mmmm...can't wait for turkey day....must consume mass quantities

Get an old, really hot P4, put a flat heatsink such as the Thermaltake Big Typhoon on, without the fan. Overclock the hell out of it. Then turn your computer on its side. Start orthos, and you can keep your little jug of gravy warm on the heatsink! Sorted!

1. Buy a turkey... Or a living one, kill it, pluck it etc. depending on your tastes...
__________________2. Prepare the turkey however it please you... You may want to doin a case, I mean turkey mod... Perspex anyone? 3. Build a baking pan out of aluminium/copper heatsinks by soldering/welding them together 4. Apply Artic Silver 5 Thermal Paste to the tray in the oven and the botton of the heatsinks (baking pan) for maximum thermal conductivity between heatsinks (baking pan) and the tray. 5. Put it in the oven and watch it cook... Note you used Artic Silver so watch it otherwise it might come out char grilled. 6. Eat the thing... Watch out for the perspex... 7. A. If you bought a good turkey or know how to slaughter and prepare it well you'll be okay and enjoy your meal B. If you bought a bad one or slaughtered it badly or didn't cook it properley (didn't apply Artic Silver right) then you'll spend the next day... or two... I'll spare you the details... Alternative: For those of you who cannot afford an oven (or its broken), if you own a ASUS P5N-E SLI you can cook the turkey on the heatsink... Note: I was really bored when I wrote this... and half asleep

Step 1: Make Thanksgiving Dinner (Be sure to use the case fans to stir the Mashed Potatoes!!)
__________________Step 2: Place dinner on kitchen counter Step 3: Take the computer, and place it at the center of the table. Step 4: Take out your RAM, and use as cutting knife. If you have a heatsink(ram) , take it off and use that to help with placing the sliced peices on the plates Step 5: Enjoy!

i call this the "la turkey ou overclock" this could be an excellent way to reuse obsolete computers
step #1 get your backup, backup rig out of it's dusty corner. you may need a server case for larger turkeys step #2 get yourself some potatoes, carrots, beef stalk, and of course the turkey! all of this should be available at your local grocery step # 3 take your computer and remove all the components and all plastic pieces. step #4 chop the potatoes and carrots using a sharp knife or if your a REAL cooling enthusiast then you can simply dice them in your case fan. step #5 place turkey in case and put all ingredients with it and attempt to put the side panel back on. you may want to place this on a cooking sheet and cook on low until done. you should use a turkey baster to periodically dress the turkey. step #6 serve turkey inside of case to awaiting guests as they marvel at your home style computing

How to Cook a turkey and a entire thanksgiving meal with a few TEC's!
__________________As many of you know a pelter/TEC has a hot and cold side for chilling a cpu or other component but instead of chill this turkey we will be cooking it on high speed in comparison to your over-volted quad cpu running orthos. ![]() Step 1. Go out and buy a 12-14lb turkey from your local supermarket, brand is personal preference. Step 2a. Get turkey home and put it the refrigerator so it can start thawing this will take a few days Step 2b. while the turkey is thawing go to frozencpu.com and pick up 2-4 of these http://www.frozencpu.com/products/24...05&id=ISC85sB9 and 2-4 of these http://www.frozencpu.com/products/31...05&id=ISC85sB9 as we will need 1 psu to power each tec. Step 2c. After having ordered the tecs you will need a large cooking surface so if you got a 1'x1' or 2'x2' piece of copper that i say 1/4" thick will be our cooking surface. Step 3. Now that the turkey is thawed for a few days and you got your parts in the mail you can now start piecing the the cooking components together. Step 4. Now that the cooking rig is complete that being it has the top piece of copper as the cooking surface and another piece of copper on the bottom so we have the TEC's 'crushed' so good temps will be for us. The cold side is no use for us in this situation unless you find a way to to defy gravity and chill a dish on the cold side as your cooking the turkey on the hot side. ![]() Step 5. Begin prepping the turkey for cooking you cant go wrong with a recipe from food network so we will try the classic Roast Turkey Quote:
Step 7. Hook up the dedicated power supplies to TEC's since we will want max heat pumping power to them to cook this bird Step 8. Now the fun begins In this scenario we have 4 - 437W TEC's with 24v running to each of them and all are pumping out 437w + 'x" watts from ambient temp from the cold side so that's at least 1743W of heat output which translates to 5949 BTUs/H http://www.heatershop.com/btu_calculator.htmStep 9. Place pot/kettle with turkey inside on the copper sheet and hear some sizzling almost instantly from inside the pot. Show me a cpu that can do that. Cook time will vary depending on the weight of the bird you have, and how fast this cooking apparatus will cook the turkey compared to the conventional oven set to 425F Step 10. Now what to do in the next few hours while it is cooking.....ah yes boot into windows vista memory hog *grumble grumble* and play some crysis since 2gb is not quite enough ill need 4gb of ram to run it well, 2gb of G Skill and 2gb of Crucial Ballistix while using rig in profile V.No PC components were harmed in the cooking of this turkey so the only damage is to your wallet for the components. As a side note a pc was used for research, purchasing and gaming while waiting. Optional: A turkey is only 1 piece of the puzzle for thanksgiving you can still use the tecs for all other dishes you need to prepare all you need to do is purchase more power supplies and more 437w TEC's to chill some cranberry jello*, cook some green bean casserole, warm gravy or even once the turkey is cut as a warming plate. *- if you are to use the tec to chill items you will need a water cooling loop so the hot side is cool and the cold side is chilly. ![]() Links are for reference only not as promotional.
