If you are looking for a mid range motherboard that supports the Sempron all the way up to the Phenom II then this is a great futureproof board that is sure to please. Rev 1. It was a 3x award winner on NewEgg. It is currently at Rev 2.1.
This board is great if you have an older single or dual core AM2 processor yet want to try some overclocking and get the most out of it while your saving up for a future CPU upgrade.
The board makes use of the 780g chipset, which is one of the best chipsets AMD has ever made. The onboard 3200 HD graphics are suprisingly strong and can play games such as CS-Source fairly decent. There is even an option in the BIOS to overclock the GPU core from 500 to almost 950. The best thing however is that you can pair the IGP 3200 with a PCIE video card such as the ATI Radeon 2400 Pro and get increase yields of 50% or more. This technology is known as "Hybrid Crossfire". It really is a nice touch by AMD/ATI.
The overclock menu in the BIOS is also very good, your are given all the features you will need to have a stable OC, nothing is missing that are overclockers are use to. It also has a backup BIOS incase you mess up real bad.
The board also has HDMI,Firewire, VGA, DVI, eSATA along with 8 USB 2.0 ports. This is great for the HTPC builder who is on a budget, yet needs the modern feature of today.
I would say the only con on this board is the northbridge heatsink, it really needs a stock fan also because it runs hot, especially if you are going to overclock the onboard 3200.
Overall this is a really solid board, a ton of features and futureproofness for a very reasonable price.
