Pros: Great Looks
Cons: About everything else

In my opinion Vista was release prematurely. It has a very nice look to it but that's about as far as it go's. There is no way to go back to IE6 from the standard IE7 that is plaqued with problems. The standard security is a joke and annoying at best. Constant request to allow or block a task from running. You can turn off that feature but then you have to deal with the constant reminder poping up that the feature is disabled. Getting from place to place within the computer that was just a couple clicks is now a process that gets confussing at times. It cannot run my simple Car Test dos program in full screen that it requires for Car Testing. Compatibility for other hardware and software is not even adequate in my eyes. And trying to run programs in compatibility mode is a joke as well. If it dont work off the rip then it's not going to work. Bottom line Vista would have made better sense as an Optional Service Pack Update rather than a compleatly new Operating System. I have been hired to remove Vista from more than 30 new pc's and replace with one form or another of XP so far this year. I have also had a few upgrade to Vista just to turn around and have me put XP back on. Hope that this helps out. Maybe by next year they'll have alot of fix's or company's will be able to make drivers for there products to suit Vista.

Pros: Nice features, good looks, etc.
Cons: Buggy and system hog.

This is a very good OS but I found it kinda buggy with my 8800GTS for awhile. I've also noticed that the OS can be a big system hog when it has Aero and the side bar enabled.

Pros: Great OS, No problems at all
Cons:

Great Operating System. One of the best I have personally ever used. Very nice new features and Nice new Stylish Design. Very user friendly, almost anyone can use this Operating System. Almost all programs and games works. There are a few Glitches with some certain programs, But most of the Glitches now are fixed.

Pros: Aesthetics, Simple To Master
Cons: Speed on Budget Hardware

i didn't believe any of the hype, and didn't believe any of the put-downs, i bought it and ran it to see it for myself

first ran this with 5200+ athlonX2, 2600XT Radeon and 2GB(4x512MB)DDR2
upgraded to 9850BE PhenomX4, HD3870 Radeon and 4GB(4x1GB)DDR2

If i was still running the original system, i would have said it was alright and maybe a 6 at most, but because i'm running it on the latter of the two systems, i gave it a 9.

get it, as long as you have adequate hardware to back it up, and at least 3gb ram...

need i say more?

I don't care what your 3dmark score is, or how many extra FPS you get in crysis,
THIS is my PC
it is still bloody good for the money and it sure is cheaper than skulltrail and tri-SLI

I think a lot of people around here are beginning to share the sentiment.
