Pros: Fantastic new look, great performance, supports most games and software and easy to use.
Cons: Still one or two bugs but they will be fixed soon.

Been using this for a while now and I can say its amazing. So many arrogant people think that you're stupid by upgrading. Well, more fool you. This baby, especially 64-bit, provides a huge performance increase in games like BF2142 and Oblivion. Also, being promised to be able to use 64-bit exclusive features in games like Crysis will set this apart from everything else.

To add to that, being able to use 4GB RAM and more is sweet.

Pros: Great graphics
Cons: Buggy - but not as much as XP were at release, resource hog

I didn't like Vista that much, mostly because it seemed pretty buggy when I first tried it, but it wasn't as buggy as XP were on release. I'll let it roll for a few months before I'll return.

The downside about it is that my 3DMark scores actually went DOWN, but I blame that on the half-bad driver support.

Make sure you sandpaper the hole, and then put some U rubber over it to avoid sharp edges. Put some grease around the newly drilled hole, and then screw your computer, screw it hard. Maybe install some UV lights and turn em up to indicate that your computer is also excited.

Pros: New, DX10, looks good.
Cons: Um, drivers. Memery hog.

I have Ultimate not the Home one.

Anyways...

Its a good OS, looks good, performs good. However I don't think its for a hardcore gamer/overclocker. It still needs better hardware support (drivers).

Pros: Easy to use, User Friendly, Manages everything
Cons: Too many security!!!

So, the first Vista that I used was/is the Home Premium that came installed on my laptop almost a year ago.

When I first switched on the laptop I had to register the windows and it was easy as one, two, three The setup was very user friendly and guided you (i.e. the user) well.

As soon as it loads, it has a different aspects, everything is kind of futeristic Thus it is kind of new user interface

The start button is very easy to use because now, one would have just to write something and the respective program would show, instead having to search a very long list. For those who like to play some light games, it comes bundled with new games such as Chess, InkBall, etc... When it comes to go into 'Computer' all folders and files are shown nicely and at the bottom of the page there is what inside them and everything related to the item selected (much more in detail then the XP) There are some new features such as the side bar which one could personalize as he/she wants, the option that one could browse the opened windows, when a window is minimized and one points the mouse on it a small window would appear and shows what is in that tab, and many more

The one thing that annoys me abit is the fact of the extra security, I mean in a way it is good so that there would not be unauthorised access in you PC but on the otherhand when you would try to install or uninstall or add something a security tab would appear so that the user would have to decide whether to allow or not.

Other than that, it is a great improvement over XP

Pros: Intuitive feel. Rock solid stability. Can get to all my RAM now.
Cons: Just annoying security,But can be disabled though.

I never thought I'd say this, but at first I did not like Vista when it came out but now I like Vista since SP1 came out. And the 64 bit version seems quite stable and compatible with my hardware. It supports my 4GB of memory and runs really fast and smooth, all while being pleasing to the eye.I switched from XP SP3 to this and im not going back to XP anymore. The driver support is good for Vista x64 its worth it if your a big gamer, basicly its for gamers.
