Default 120hz worth it going from 42" to 32"?

I'm currently trying to decide whether I'd like a:

$500 42" 1080P HDTV LCD @ 60Hz
that I can get this weekend

or
$XXX 32" 1080P HDTV LCD @ 120Hz
at whenever they get to ~$400 at Wallyworld since I want to use a $100 GC (might be a while... hah. Have trouble finding 60Hz 1080p's at that price)

Basically:

10 more inches, get it now gratification

vs

120Hz, most likely better picture quality, better pixel density

I'll be using it as a main computer monitor at my desk for gaming and movies. And don't worry about 42" being too big for sitting only 3-4 feet away from it, I'll be the judge of that =D

I use a 46" LCD 1080TV as a monitor.
I would go with the larger TV if resolution is that important.
Under 40" TV's do not have true 1080p.
The 120hz vs 60 hz is noticeable, but depending on what you are doing not a big deal. Most people can't tell anyways.

120 hz only helps with fluid motion. Do you watch a lot of fast moving tv or sports? If you mainly watch sitcoms, dramas, etc, then save your money. Also, I honestly think bigger is better when it comes to tvs. I can hardly get interested watching smaller sets after living with bigger ones. I don't think you'd be happy downsizing from a 42" into a 32" even if the quality was a little better.

I would save up and get a 120hz 42"

32" is just too damn small and 120hz is really awesome.

I saved up and bought a 55" 120hz, I love it. much better than the old 42" 60hz my dad had
