Edited OP. I know 500 dollars is just not enough to get me the quality of front speakers I want. I will be doing all custom enclosures, this way will be much easier to hide the total cost of the system over time. I first need to find some good 2 way drivers, and work out the best design for my tower enclosures.

ya i was going to say making your own would be more fun and be able to achieve the sound you want.

does anyone know of a good retailer to buy drivers from that are better quality then what parts express has?
suggestions on brands are welcome and also helpful, Also any other sites/sources with designs for a 2way tower similar to the noah 8's would be great, I will more likely go with 6.5" drivers not the 8's in the noahs. should I go with mdf High/med density, or would it be worth it to go with real wood, I plan to paint them black so i'm conisdering any improvement in sound not looks. but as far as i know 1 inch mdf with filler like no rez is about as good as it gets.
