I've had my D5000 headphones for a while now after applying the markl mod. Now that they are past the burn in period I would like to have them recabled. Any suggestions on where I should send them? Is there someone here that can do it at a reasonable price?

check out head-fi.org. You can find someone who does the MarkL mod there because that's where it originated from.

You can always ask on head-fi.org since there are plenty of people there who prolly have done re-cabling.

I wouldn't send them to just anyone... Headphone voice coils can actually melt if overheated!
I've seen quite a few horror stories over there. However, if you know what you're doing and exhibit some common sense it's not hard to do. I do, however, recommend a temperature controlled soldering iron/station.

I have the equipment and knowledge to desolder the stock cables off, but, don't have the temperature controlled soldering iron. I would rather be safe than sorry in this case. I have more invested in these then my last three motherboards combined.
