Default AudioDG.exe or... Disable Soundblaster?

Alright... so, here is the issue.

Audiodg.exe leaks like a hell of a crap and can take up to half or a quarter of my ram. I would like to find a way to disable it. So far, I have not. Does anyone know how to do this?

Also, should I disable Sound Blaster on my card? What is the benefit to this. Because I haven't noticed any.

I read about audiodg.exe a few months ago, and I found out that if it's disabled, then audio does not and can not work.

But, I do know that "Creative Audio Service" can be Disabled using Services.msc, or at least set to Manual. I have mine set to Manual, and I never see it run. I'm getting closer and closer to setting it to Disabled.

But how many MB is audiodg.exe using on your system? It's using approximately 11.20 MB on mine. I use 1,024K as 1 MB.

It was leaking earlier and used 542,122 something or other. Half of my Ram was in use.

This was a big issue a few months back. The only way to keep the usage low is disabling the creative effects. On my x-fi everytime i used to talk on ventrilo the usage would go up. Used to reach 1.3 gb
Now im using Audigy until this issue is resolved.

I've seen times where my audiodg.exe also eats upwards of 500MB to 2GB of RAM....

Thank god my PC reboots in 30 seconds. POS drivers again.

I've been using daniel_k's drivers for the past couple months and my audiodg.exe has not been having any memory leaks so far. You should try them out and see if they work for you.
