Default Recommend me a receiver to power Polk Audio Monitor 60s!

Hey all.

I'm looking to upgrade from Z-5500 sound to some serious full-range audio.

Really digging the Polk Audio Monitor 60 speakers due to their (hopefully) incredible mid-range.

However, I do need a receiver also and was wondering what you guys thought of this one? http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16882115193

Thanks in advance!

Do you see yourself buying a Blu-Ray player and using that receiver? If so, I suggest you keep looking since it doesn't support Dolby TrueHD or DTS-HD. You'll definitely want that if you're intending on going Blu-Ray because it's worth it. My suggestion is to keep an eye on Open Box/Clearance sections of the major websites around. I highly suggest watching the "Sick Deal of the Day" over at www.6ave.com. That's where I got the Denon I use in my bedroom theater. It was a screaming deal and basically 50% of what it should've been. I actually bought 2 because of the price and sold one to a friend.

Thanks or the input. Although I won't be watching Bluray's on it immediately, I'm sure I will move this set-up int the living room eventually and hook it up to my PS3.

What do you think of this one? http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16882115194

Bit pricey though :/

Found the RX-V465 receiver on eBay for $259.99 with free shipping ($70 less than Newegg!)

Ordered.

Buyer's remorse slowly settling in

I think you'll be happy. If and when you move that into a Blu-Ray setup, you'll be glad you got one with the right processing. It's a huge leap forward from DVDs. Most think of Blu-Ray as a video upgrade, but the audio difference is much larger IMO.

I have an RX-V661 and I love it. Has HDMI, and all sorts of things that you will find more that useful. Check it out.

EDIT: I have my PC as a gaming rig and an HTPC. I use a DIY sub, and Polk all the way around. Monitor 50's for the front and OWM3's for the surrounds. The receiver powers them all very nice and recommend them to anyone on a budget.
