OCN hasn't failed to point me in the right direction yet, so I thought I would come straight here.
I'm looking to improve my computer audio set up since my current one is practically non existent. I have a decent pair of headphones and most of my music is saved at 192-256 and I'm looking to re-burn most of my cds into flac, so I thought I would start with a decent amp/dac set up. I don't have room for an internal soundcard, so this will have to all be based off the output from the mobo. Here's the kicker though, I'm a strapped college student, so I'm looking to keep this around $150 with a max of $200. Is it possible and what are your suggestions?

A Zero would be alright, and on the bottom end of that price range. I like mine, at least. It thins the bass out a bit too much for my tastes, but it's still a great little DAC for a good price.

People on Head-Fi recommend it a lot. And the $40 shipping is because it ships from China.
Here's a review: http://www.head-fi.org/forums/f5/rev...re-amp-269458/

Hmmm...
I see the opamp designations at the end of each of these units, which one would be best for rock, alternative and hip hop ? http://computers.shop.ebay.com/i.htm...=&_osacat=3702
