Default Sennheiser 428 S any good?

really looking for something decent. and i can get these locally for 79.99..

im ready to walk out the door right now, are these worth it?

oh, off onboard sound, powered by a headphone amp (homemade)

possibly sound card in the near future.

well, went ahead and got them. realized they are 32ohm, more for ipod/mp3 player, but meh, if i dont like them in a few days, ill return to BB and get some 555's or something

returned these and ordered my 120ohm 555's. should go well with a nice tube amp in the future.

Had I known you were in Lafayette, IN, I would have answered this thread earlier. Hope you enjoy the HD555 although I'm not sure where you sourced the 120 ohm version which has been out of production for some time.

I'm in West Lafayette by the way.
