Default Beats by Dr.Dre or...

I can't buy the Sennheiser HD595 from amazon (220$), they only ships to U.S. I have two options left, Sennheiser HD555 (200$) or Beats by Dr.Dre (250$) !??

P.S.: I listened to music on the Beats and it's sounds O.K., what about the HD555 ?

Go for the HD555's if you're not a bass-head.

Do not get the Beats. Stick with sennheiser. The 555's don't have the greatest bass right off the bat, but after you let them break in they have a much fuller and defined sound. Can't really say anything about the 595's

completely different cans. 555's are not known for there bass and the 'beats' are extremly bass heavy.

You should get a different pair of headphones. Check out Beyerdynamic, Audio technica, Denon, etc. Stay away from Beats by dr.dre.

What type of music do you listen to?

The Beats are not bass heavy at all. The reason why people think it's bass heavy is because of the Dr. Dre / rap association + that when people try them in stores such as Best Buy and Apple stores, they are heavily bass EQ'ed to suit the potential demographic. They lean towards the bass but are not bass and bass only.

Anyway OP,
What's your music tastes?
Budget?
How are you going to use it?

I listen to everything (rock mostly), but I do listen to Hip-Hop. And my budget is 230$ for black friday deals. I cant get the HD595 wich are the same price, but US shipping only, from amazon. I will wear them every single day.

P.S.: I'm all about Treble xD (can we say that? lol)

Have you considered in-ears? Is this for use on portables such as a mp3 player or at home or both?

If you don't have an amp, don't spend more than $250. I'd get the 555 or 595. The beats I've heard sound "good," but not for the price.
