I was just watching a movie (on the waterfront, marlon brando is my new hero) but I noticed that I don't play PC games, all I do is watch movies and listen to music. My screen is 32'', 1920x1080, 1080p. I planned on doing a new build, but then I thought, why do that when all I do is listen to music and watch movies.
I am looking for a top notch HTPC, but I don't really know how to build one, so can anyone help me get started? I am going to need everything including speakers (no monitor) thanks
I am looking to spend 1500 max.

Yes you can use it to surf the web, i use firefox to use less resoruces,
i built a htpc with the specs duckie outlines in this forum and i love it so far.
I use it on my 46" 1080p shrp lcd aquos tv, looks awsome.
my system specs amd 4050 cpu, foxconn 780g motherboard, g.skill 2g 6400 ram,antec earth 430watt power, and heatsink xitam s-1230 i think, and logitec evio edge key board
