Cool Help With HTPC Build

Hello Everyone,

I need help designing a HTPC. I want it to be SILENT and use as little power as possible while still being a powerful machine. It must be Intel based.

Here are the things I need:

-1x SILENT case
-1x SILENT power supply
-1x SILENT dvd drive (Or, a Blu-Ray drive if necessary for a kick ass HTPC)
-Enough HDD's for RAID 5 or 10 with massive storage
-8GB Ram
-Mobo
-Processor
-Video Card
-Sound card capable of all (Widely Used) Hi-Def formats
-1x SILENT Heatsink w/ a SILENT fan
-A Remote with whatever reciever is necessary for the computer
-A media center Keyboard w/ imbedded mouse or, seperate mouse
-An OS capable of all of my wishes

Thanks,
Geekman

+Rep for help

What size? ATX or MicroATX? Are you going to be doing anything else other then Media functions on this computer? b/c if you aren't, its going to be excessive overkill.

It dosnt matter atx/matx for me.

It may be used for occasional gaming on a 50" Samsung 1080p TV.

Go with the Claro+ for the soundcard if the system isn't for gaming.

For the Keyboard and mouse maybe the Logitech diNuvo Edge.

All cases and heatsinks are silent... unless you happen to have one with moving parts?

This is more of a normal gaming with with low noise components.... just build a high-end rig using the top end quiet cooling

I found this a couple weeks ago, it's a HTPC guide and should give you some ideas.
