Ok, problem is, the desktop of my htpc overscans the tv. About an inch is missing all the way around. Products used=vista32bit, panasonic th-50px6u, and a gtx260. I'm using an hdmi to dvi cable. The resolution of the plasma is 1366x768(kinda weird for a 1080p plasma?) Anyway, to get the best picture, and to fit, i set nvidia control panel resolution to 1280x720p, then resize the desktop to 1244x694. So ironically, if i left it @ 1280x720, and the desktop is off the screen, restart, the logon screen is in perfect alignment, then the desktop is still off screen. Any input would be great fellas, thanx....

I had plenty of issues with this as well, and it can be a real headache.
The first thing I would do is shut the computer down and switch DVI ports. For some reason, this helped me a ton. All of the sudden my TV recognized the computer, and gave me some extra options for overscan. Worth a shot I guess. Also, if your TV has a VGA port, you can try that out. But you should really check your TVs users manual and see what options it has for overscan or "pixel for pixel" operation.

i will def try the other dvi port. If i can refrain from using the vga port on the tv, i'd like to keep the digital signal. @ this resolution, the dvd's and ripped dvd's look great. I had this issue with a visio 32" lcd and can't remember what i did to correct. I will def try the other port in a few...thanx

Sometimes you have to play with the res to get it right.

You should have gotten an HDMI adapter with your GTX 260.
__________________If you plug that in and then use a normal HDMI cable for it, that should either fix your problem or open up the options to mess around with it. I had the same problem when I didnt use the adapter specific to my video card. edit: Also, have you not messed with the resize options in the nvidia control pannel?

Are you sure your tv is not 720p?
