Default HDMI Overscan problems

So I have my LCD TV connected to my computer running Windows 7 x64. I am using a 9600gso 384mb. I am having this weird issue where I can fix the overscan (My desktop stretches past the edges of my monitor) problem temporarily by going to the Nvidia Control panel > Change Resolution and then in the drop down menu for "Connector" I have 2 options: hdmi - hdtv audio enabled and disabled. I don't need or want audio through hdmi so I disable it by default. If I enable and then disable it my problem is fixed until the resolution is changed (Turning off my computer or TV, opening a full screen game, etc.) then I have to repeat this process.

I have noticed in the Nvidia menus it recognizes my monitor as "PRI HDMI TV" and windows says it's a generic PnP. Neither of which is correct as far as I know. The resolution it is supposed to run at (1367x768) isn't listed and the closest one to it (1360x768) makes my screen look really bad.. unreadable text, blotches, etc.

Hit me with some knowledge

Thanks

Make sure you have the newest drivers, inside the Nvidia control panel, go to the resize section and there should be a button that says "Resize Desktop" and it will open up a full screen prompt that will allow you to customize the resolution corner to corner. It's very nice, and I have the same problem without this tool.

It worked! But will it add my new resolution, 1196x694, to all my apps and such?

It will work for everything unless your other apps force a change in resolution. Although, this solved all of my problems. Good luck
