Yes. What matters is the resolution, not the screen size. Just remember that even with 1080p @ 50", you'll still need to sit back a ways - it won't be as crisp as a 24" @ 1080p at the same distance.

Yes it will work just fine.
I do believe you might have to work with your color profile so all things look right as I have heard that sometimes cards don't display as good of color picture on Plasma's as they do on LCD's or CRT's without some tweaking. But either way, it'll hook up just fine.

People STILL believe this? Come on. Burn-in risk in plasma screens is minuscule, much less than CRTs.

It should work fine. I actually use a 60" DLP thru an Onkyo SR606. This is hooked up via HDMI to my laptop. I play Bluray with Power DVD 9 and the Ole lady streams video, music, and plays games all night long. LOL. Well, almost.

LCD is generally the smarter choice for computers / gaming though. But yeah, the cards will be able to run it easily, 1080p means it's 1920x1080 as the resolution, the screen size doesn't really matter when you get into TV's since it's not the size that determines how many pixels, it's just the bigger the tv, the bigger the pixels are.
