I think I'm missing something here
So supposedly, to play Blu-Rays and watch certain TV channels, you've gotta have an HDCP compliant video card and HDCP compliant monitor/TV. Right?
So how am I able to watch and record everything in full HD on standard monitors without any 'hacks' like anydvd?

Sometimes the hardware will not allow it without a compatible monitor/tv or other hardware in side your computer. I have not ever had the problem, but some do.

Is the path fully digital? If you have an analog hole in the system it will play regardless of HDCP.

The media that you're playing may not have enabled the HDCP flags... there's 3 main options:
1) Do Nothing 2) Downsize 3) No display

To answer most of your questions: (1) a fridge cannot cool a PC (2) 64-bit OS for over 3.4GB (3) If a PCIe card fits, it should work (4) Resolution, not screen size (5) If you have a question, it is not news (6) Report, not respond to Spam (7) Single-Rail/Non-Modular PSUs are not always better than Multi-Rail/Modular
