Will this build be good enough for a HTPC?

Hey, I have an older PC sitting around collecting dust. I was wondering if I would be able to turn it into a HTPC.
It has an old P4 socket 478 3.0Ghz with HT It could have 1GB RAM in dual channel or 2GB in single channel. GeForce 6200 cant remember if its 64Mb or 128Mb I dont have a tuner card yet. Would those parts work for a HTPC or are they too slow?

You should be able to run standard TV and DVD's no prob, but if your planning for some 720p/1080p playback, your gonna need some more juice.

At stock, I would think more than your quad.
Yes, more. If your mobo has vcore options in the bios, it'll help a lot with CPU power consumption. And if you ever want 1080p, all you have to do is get a cheapo HD3450 off ebay if your mobo has PCI-E slots.

You could probably find a HD3450 AGP.

I would think a 6200 should be fine. it is from the days when CRTs were still very common so it probably can support a high enough resultion for even 1080p. So I would definately try it before ever buying anything.
Standard res you could wipe the dust off of any old video card and be fine, though All you need is a CPU strong enough to run the video which even a P3 would be fine for standard res I ran an analog TV card with a 1GHz P3 for a long time
