Can anyone with this card post a screenshot of what recorded TV looks like on it (with media center)? I'm having tons of problems with the HD-PVR even though it's technically working, and I want to just give up and replace it.

It should look exactly like watching regular TV. I have the 1800, I wish I had the 2250. As long as the TV signal is good, the picture should be the same. Recorded TV and live TV I mean. Have you checked the TV signal with a TV to verify that the cable is good?
If you're having issues, have you tried calling Hauppauge? Their customer service is outstanding.

Then again, since you've got an 1800, think you can take a screenshot for me and let me see?

Whats the 2250? Does that let you watch digital cable from the set top box to the PC in digital and not analog quality?

It's not about analog or digital quality (everything's analog by the time it hits the screen anyway), it's about encoding quality.

I'm recording something right now and it won't let me take it while recording, I don't know why. I'll post 1 when I can.

I'm a little confused as to what kind of screen shot you want exactly. Do you want a direct NTSC shot, STB to A/V-in NTSC shot, ATSC shot or QAM shot?

Anything from an STB, because that's all I use.

the only thing i've noticed using my 2250 is that NBC digital, when there is fast moving scenes, tends to severely pixelate (although it could be my screen being 1600x900). The other thing is, there is no encoding done on a digital signal. the only thing that's done is it's inserted in a container file (.wtv/.dvr-ms) If you're looking for encoding quality, it would be analog tv signals you're looking for.
the analog quality is actually pretty decent (and i'm very picky when it comes to pic quality. i adjust my tv's constantly trying to get colors and back lighting perfect)

Here is a screenshot from a bit I recorded on my 2250. It's not bad, not great like it is on my HDTV, but not bad. Standard def looks about the same, just a tad worse, but definitely watchable in my opinion. This is a feed from my Comcast HD STB, just a regular coax cable from the box out and straight into the 2250.
