So I was excited about installing the Internet TV addon to Win7 Media Center. The only thing I can find through that is 30 second to 2 minute clips?

Am I missing something here?

I was sure I could drop Dish/Cable when I moved, but I may have to tell the wifey that that HTPC I bought is useless.

I get full CBS shows and a few more.... (basically, non-Hulu channels).

HTPC useless? There's always Hulu Desktop.

Weird. I'll have to look at it some more. I was trying to avoid a $60+/mo bill. My biggest challenge I think is to find her some HGTV content.

There are two places you can check.... one is on the main menu under TV -> Internet TV.

The other place is in your TV Guide listings. It should be before channel 2.

xbmc/boxee didnt work right with the MCE remote. I'm aware there are hacks but meh. I'm also trying to stick with MCE, because the interface is simple enough for the whole family.

I'm also trying to do it legally.


@Duckie: I found the full episodes. full CLASSIC episodes. Not bad I guess. I mean I can record CBS OTA anyway, but having it on demand would be nice.

You would be surprised. A lot of shows now can be streamed or DL'd for free, legally, from the official websites.

I know you can do it on abc.com or cbs.com and so on, but it would be nice if it would integrate into VMC like boxee or xbmc can do.

Methinks I need to get started with the media center SDK.
