Default What BIOS for p5w dh deluxe?

I heard some of the newer ones do more harm than good. Should I get the 1305 from ASUS website? Or the 1401 from the other topic over there?

Well, there is a 1402 now as well, it is meant to allow unlocked downward multis on Conroes. I'm using 1201 cos it allows me to enable Enhanced C1 and change vcore at the same time where 1305, 1401 and 1402 wont.

Go with 1402 its not bad.

Now whats everybody using for the P5B Deluxe? I am setting one up as we speak and the current bios has a 400fsb cap...which is a joke.

Cool

I say go with 1405. (September 18th release) Seems to be very stable. Practically ran FEAR the whole way through with it overclocked in one sitting (so thats about 7 hours or so). Its got some cool new options I havent seen before since 1305 like multiplier manipulation and Digital Home Features toggle. I found most threads state that there are some problems with 1401 and 1402 but I cannot confirm as I never used them. Maybe they got the bugs out with this latest revision. I stuck with it since I flashed. Not a whole lot of difference though, just seems to be more stable and the CPU multiplier manipulation is great bonus. Havent fooled around with that yet, though. Already have the FSB cranked up to 400 and I doubt I want to try anything higher on air and anyways I would need voltmods to up the Northbridge anyways >400. My OC seems to be rock solid the way it is though. Why try and fix something that aint broke?
