hi all, im unfortunate enough to have a p4s800d-x (sis655FX). doesnt have any control over the voltages, gpu, cpu, ram etc. and i've reached my limit of 3.75ghz 3-4-3-4-2T. but i know my ram is rated 2.8 volts, but when i opened another bios (sis655TX) from a p4s800d-e it was defaulted to 2.5v. which leads me to beleive that my MoBo may be auto defaulting to 2.5v aswell... but not telling me. that would be IMHO a good reason for me not breaking 250mhz fsb... at all. not even by 1 at any timings.
__________________now to the point. other than the giga lan, and bios settings, the p4s800d-E has no different features, same bios basically (opened both to compare) i was thinking, since my pci lan is disabled anyways, could/should i flash to the TX bios? enabling the volt mods? when im in MY bios, the bottom reads sis655FX/TX anyways ps i wanted a p4p800se, but i can only find one in canada and they still want 133$ +tax for it. im not spending anything more on a 478 rig. as im sure you can understand

stop bumping your own thread
1 a day max as for the bios flash i highly doubt it will work, if it was designed for voltage adjustments then it would have had the option to change it
