Default Noob Question

Sorry if this is a dumb question but this is the first time I'm going to try to update my bios. When I download the new bios verision from the asus site do I download the one for DOS or the one that says OTHER? Thanks.

There are three methods you can use to update an ASUS bios. Your question (which is not dumb, but actually shows a spark of intelligence!) shows me that you have a little more reading to do... you didn't say which method you are going to use. Well first I tried to use the asus bios update threw windows but that did not work. It would just time out when connecting. So I thought I would download the file and update threw windows using the "update from file option". This is making me a little nervous since I have never up dated a bios before, but I would like to keep my new rig up to date.
