I'm flashed to P30 and haven't had any issues, haven't really seen any advantages either.

Thanks for the post, this has fix my problem.
I used to get black screen everytime i enable core 2 and core 3 in the BIOS, they have to be disabled so i can load windows. Now, they are already enabled and my system running great. But i still have the heat issue 45c idl & 73c load, i just ordered the Thermalright Ultra-120 Extreme CPU Cooler. Hopefully it will reduce the heat. Great post

First of all, great, informative post.
__________________![]() Second of all, I have a question. I just got this board, and I've never flashed its BIOS before; is it as simple as running the .exe? I used to have an ASUS Socket A board and it had a nice utility for doing that, forget exactly what it was called. So do I just have to run the .exe to flash the BIOS?

There are many way to flash the BIOS.
__________________If you have a floppy you run the exe and it will create a bootable floppy. Boot from that floppy and follow the instruction on screen or it might even be automatic. From a CD: Burn the ISO (I presume you know how to handle ISO files? If not use www.imgburn.com to burn it its easy. Then boot from the CD and follow the instructions on screen or it might be automatic. From Windows (not recomended by many but I do it that way anyway): Install the Nvidia software on the BIOs download page. Download the bios .bin file. Use the Nvidia Software to flash. If you are new to this I recomend the Floppy or CD method. Also it's always better to reset the CMOS to default before and after a flash. Then again I don't do it but it is highly recommended to do so.
