Default What's Wrong With My Bios!? O.o (Bet You don't know!)

But I hope you do!

The problem is that I'm missing a whole bunch of options necessary to OC my machine.
Take a look. The latter 2 are more important.

I see the BIOS versions are different. But why are there so fewer options... And in a newer version?

If anyone has any ideas,
please say so!
-Zack

*THANKS in advance!

Have you tried the F4 tricks?

You should update the BIOS if you can too.

They are different versions, as you pointed out, just use the one with more options or not.

You have a D975XBX which only has the burn in percentage mode for overclocking, the other BIOS screens are more than likely from the D975XBX2 which is fully unlocked for overclocking.

A: F4 Tricks?

B: I updated the BIOS from the Intel site yesterday.

C: Where would I get an older version of my BIOS? I tried Googling it, but I couldn't find it, anywhere... But wouldn't newer versions have *more* options, anyways?

http://www.anandtech.com/printarticle.aspx?i=2681 < Nope... From my same model. There's also a tutorial on Intel's website with the same images, and for the same model.

Aren't there some keys that you can press when you are in the main BIOS screen? Sometimes they unlock options. Someone has a FAQ on it here. I doubt that it would work on an Intel board though. Have you had overclocking options in the BIOS on this motherboard in the past? If not, then STN71190 is probably right.

ALT or CTRL and F1, as far as I know, and that didn't work. I have not had OCing options on this board, before.

The thing I don't understand is that the intel website, as well as many, many others forgets to add the "2" to the end?

Your BIOS date is January of '06. The one you want it to look like is Sept. of 07.

Where did you get the screenie of the one with options that you want, and why do you think it is for your M/B ?

Jan of 06 is WAY old. Either you got the wrong BIOS from Intel, or Intel is giving out old BIOS. You might have to find a custom BIOS for that motherboard.

Edit: Okay I got it backwards. Still looking . . .
