Default "PCI Simple Communications Controller" Issue

I am trying to help a co-worker get this all figured out but I'm no guru so I came here...

Here's the situation:

Brand new Dell OptiPlex 755(Work computer so please don't waste my time with "that's what you get for getting a Dell")

Everything seems to be working fine until you open the Device Manager window and see the yellow question mark..."PCI Simple Communications Controller"

I have been doing some searching and this PCI simple thingy thing seems to basically be a modem, well there is no modem installed in the machine at all...

Only a LAN which works just fine...

I have tried to install the modem drivers off the CD but because there is no modem physically in the machine it won't work...

Someone out there has to have a work around or something so that when this machine goes out to whoever it doesn't have this stupid yellow question mark...

Obviously the yellow mark doesn't hurt anything they just would rather get rid of it all together...

Thanks for reading all of this mess and I hope it makes some sense to someone...

Sorry if this is in the wrong spot...

Update the driver package. Go into BIOS and disable any device you are not using (like Serial Bus)

Cool

If you have your Dell Resource CD, put it in, and install all of the chipset drivers and programs. Install the following:

Intel Chipset Software Installation Utility Rev. A19

Intel AMT SOL/AMS Rev:A00

Intel AMT HECI Rev: A00

This should fix your problem.
