I just got my P5E in today , but wont be able to put it in until after finals next week. What vcore problem are you getting with the 402 bios? Is it reading the vcore wrong?

It's not the 0402, but the 0405. Do not update to this BIOS. After doing so from the BIOS that originally came with the board, the vcore setting was terrible. The only option is to leave it on auto, because if you try to set the vcore manually, it auto sets it to 2.6, as if that is the lowest it can go. I have tried downgrading the BIOS in every possible way, with no success. If anything, stick with the 0402 for now.

I have just tested out the 0501 BIOS. Depending on your success with the other BIOS', I might want to stay away from this one. There have been mixed reports of success and failures, but for my part I noticed that the v-core problem had been fixed. I am currently running at 366x9, can't really push it further at the moment due to temperature problems. Also, the Speedstep option seems to have disappeared.
__________________A few things I'm not so sure about: what exactly is the FSB strap? How much voltage should I apply to the NB and other peripherals, and how much voltage is necessary to get a 3.6G clock? I would prefer to not have to go above 1.4V.
